Yesterday, Monday, Our granddaughter Carolyn and her son Ben, spent the day with us. Ben is now 11 months old and is a water baby. He loved the pool and playing in the water. Got a feeling he will be learning to swim really soon. it was so much fun seeing them again. When we took them back home we stopped and ate at Marie Calandar's. Got the greatest salad and cornbread. Yum. Ben had fun dropping food all over the place. Needless to say we gave the waitress a nice tip. She really was a nice lady. A great day was had by all.

Mmm, mmm, mmm! Marie Callendar's. I remember my high school friends and I would go by there for dinner. There used to be one on National Boulevard near Sawtelle. I loved the pies. I notice that her pot pies are for sale in Publix, our local market, but they are too expensive. Give me Banquet at 2 for a $1.00.
